Important Information for Student ID cards
Student ID card is also the access for entering library, and the key to your dorm.
If you add value into the card, it can be Easy Card for you to take bus or MRT.
You can use this card in the stores with the mark like 7-11, Family Mart.
Register for Courses
NTPU students register for courses through Student Information System, you can also add or drop a class through this system.

How to Sign in the Student Information System:
ID (first column): your student ID number
Default password (second column): 0 (zero) + yymmdd (date of your birth), but the year should subtract 1911.
If the birthday is 1989/01/01, the password will be 0780101.
(1989-1911=78àpassword: 0(zero)+78+01(mm)+01(dd) )
After you sign in the first time, you can change the password.
Four undergraduate students share a room, two graduate students share a room. Male and female rooms are separate in NTPU dormitories. Please note that meanwhile we don’t supply any on-campus accommodation for couples or families.
Dorm settings are clean, quiet and fully furnished with: single bed, closet, desk and chair, shoe rack, plug-in internet access, air conditioner, a shower room. Also, there is a small balcony outside the room.Kitchen and refrigerator and are available in public area.A self-service laundry: $10 NTD for washer/ $10 NTD for dryer
What to Bring
The following is a suggested list of things that you may want to bring with you:
Kitchen: cutlery, bowls, plates, cups, glasses
Bathroom: toilet paper, face cloth(s) / towels, personal items (i.e. soap, shampoo etc), tissue.
Bedroom: transformer, adapter, internet cable line, coat hangers, alarm clock, hair dryer.
Electricity in Taiwan is 110 Volts, alternating at 60 cycles per second. If you travel to Taiwan with a device that does not accept 110 Volts at 60 Hertz, you will need a voltage converter.
In addition to on-campus accommodation, there are many apartments and rental houses close to our campus. The rent for off-campus accommodation ranges from NT$4000 to 10000 (US$100 to 330) per month depending on housing conditions.
If you need any help or suggestion for renting accommodation, our student club ” Snail Club” and the Office of students Affairs will be love to help you.
On-campus retail Dining
NTPU on-campus canteens and cafeterias offer good food at reasonable prices, and wide variety of dining options. There are two main cafeterias on campus: one is in Business School and another is in Administration Building.
Monday- Friday: 7 a.m.-8 p.m.
NTPU also has following stores on campus: 7-11(Convenience store), Mos Burger, Ikari Café, fast-food places, bakeries.

If you want to go to Taipei City from Sanshia Campus, you can take bus 908 and 921 to Jingan MRT station, and bus 916 and 922 to Yongning MRT station, and transfer to MRT. When taking bus from Sanshia to the MRT station, you have to swipe your card twice; basically at the time you get on and get off the bus.
Library, computer service center, language corner, gym as well as bookstores provide various services and activities for NTPU faculty and students. There are Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) at College of Business Building and the Post Office where located in the Administration Building. Sports courts like tennis, basketball, Golf, baseball are available for all NTPU.
NTPU has a health center on campus with doctors and nurses to meet students' medical needs. The office is open 2 p.m.-4 p.m. on instructional days. For emergencies or more serious health problems, En Chu Kong Hospital is a full-service hospital located about 5 minutes from campus that offers 24-hour care.
Extracurricular activities play an important role in students' lives at a university. There are more than 50 student clubs and societies at NTPU, including AIESEC, Toastmasters, Model United Nations Club, and lots of club involved in social service, language learning,sports, art, music, literature, humanities, business, religion, and students union.
